How do you consume and use your CBD resin?

Perhaps less commonly consumed, especially by novices, resin is nevertheless a fairly versatile cannabidiol-based product. Admittedly, these powerful CBD levels can be confusing or even frightening, but here I explain how to properly consume and use your CBD resin resin for optimal, safe results.

It is possible to vaporize your CBD resin

If you've been following my editorial adventures on this blog, you'll remember that I've already talked to you about vaping (it's my preferred way of consuming CBD, by the way).

Let me briefly remind you what this involves: using a device designed for the purpose - which comes in many forms, such as an electric pipe, an electronic cigarette or even a larger device somewhere between a diffuser and a hookah - the cannabidiol-based substance is heated to a high temperature, but which never reaches the point of combustion.

The vaporizer heats CBD to temperatures between 170 and 210° Celsius, which is enough to release the active ingredients, but does not burn the product.

  • Preheat your vaporizer.
  • Crumble the resin and place it in the compartment provided.
  • Let it warm up and get ready to inhale. Don't hesitate to be gentle and pull gently on the device to get the best sensations (and to avoid damaging the material).
  • Inhale the steam and let the substance take effect within a few minutes - up to 20 minutes.

But you can also cook with CBD resin.

If you don't feel like spending money on a vaporizer, or if you just want to try CBD resin for the first time, you can use it in savory and sweet recipes.

In fact, cooking with our CBD is very simple, you just need to know that it's a fat-soluble molecule. The use of fat is therefore essential if you want to experience the benefits of CBD. Two solutions are now available to you.

First, you can infuse your CBD resin in oil or butter. To do this, choose the oil that suits you best, or have some butter on hand. Then melt your resin in the fat (about 1 to 2 grams per preparation).

Use oil or butter as indicated in the recipe. If this seems too restrictive, you can also grate CBD resin onto the dish of your choice, just make sure the food contains fat so your body can assimilate the cannabidiol.

The little extra? CBD adds a whole new flavour to your preparations. You can even play with the different resins and their aromas.
