How to choose the best CBD flowers?

Mama, help us again! If you've taken the time to browse our online store, you'll have realized that we offer a pretty diverse range of CBD flowers. Confused by all this choice? I was too when I first became interested in cannabidiol, so here's a quick guide to choosing your CBD flowers.

Choose your flowers according to variety

Maybe you've never thought about it this way, but choosing the right CBD flower is a bit like choosing a perfume. Tastes and colors are not up for discussion, and neither is the way our bodies react to a product. So, in addition to focusing on the aromatic and gustatory notes that appeal to you, you'll also need to consider your product in terms of its intended use and expected effects. And since there's no such thing as a miracle recipe, I strongly advise you to try several CBD flowers to determine your preferences.

The best CBD flowers on sale at Mama Kana

At Mama Kana, we've assembled on our e-shop a selection of the best legal CBD flowers in America and even a Moonrock CBD. All grown according to organic farming rules and tested by independent laboratories, they meet the criteria for consumption in America. Below, I present my favorites available on our CBD shop.

OG Kush CBD

When you read Kush in the description, you quickly understand that this is a high-quality product that hits hard! OG Kush CBD is renowned for its high concentration of cannabidiol. Perfect for vaporizing, it confers powerful relaxing and anti-inflammatory effects. A must-try strain.

THEAmnesia CBD

Does Amnesia CBD still need an introduction? This emblematic variety is surely the one I can't stop recommending to all consumers. Amnesia is, in fact, the epitome of the perfect CBD flower: a soft green color, beautiful trichomes, a high concentration of CBD and complex aromas; what more could you ask for?

Purple Haze CBD

Wow, simply wow! A true work of art: Purple Haze CBD is an extraordinary flower, with its powerful purple hue and heady, ripe fruit fragrance, seducing all who come into contact with it. As striking to the nose as it is to the taste, it offers aromas of ripe, juicy grapes and forest fruits. A variety for true gourmets.

The Gorilla Glue CBD

Gorilla Glue CBD is a flower I generally recommend to both regular and new users. Not too strong and offering a varied aromatic profile giving off fruity citrus notes and a piney aftertaste, it's the ideal flower when you're aiming for deep mental and physical relaxation. Little known to the general public, those who try it generally come back for more.

THEOrange Bud CBD

If you mixed a candy with a CBD flower, you'd get Orange Bud CBD. This Mediterranean-grown flower exudes sweetness and sunshine with its citrus aromas (orange, nectarine and lemon). This flower is one of the most decadent we have in the store, perfect for vaporizing or simply using in potpourri.

Prefers naturally grown CBD flower

I can't say it often enough: there's no substitute for natural! That's why, at Mama Kana, we offer a selection of CBD flowers grown in the right terroirs - in Switzerland and Italy.

A CBD flower grown naturally according to the demands of organic farming has undergone fewer treatments and fewer chemicals than other plants. As a result, there are few, if any, pesticide residues on edible flowers. Similarly, the terroir on which the plants are grown has been preserved and respected. Choosing a natural product means respecting yourself and the planet.

Select a flower based on flavour and scent

As you may have gathered from the presentation of my favorite CBD flowers that we offer in the store, the olfactory and flavor ranges are varied. A bit like with CBD gummies, there's something for everyone - and that's fantastic.

If I may say so, on a personal note, I'd advise you to choose your CBD flowers according to their aromas rather than their smells. Indeed, whether you consume it as a vapour or an infusion, for example, it's the flavours and gustatory notes that will stand out, not the olfactory notes. So focus on the flavors when you're reading the product sheets.

Take an interest in the CBD flower's appearance

Taking an interest in the CBD flower's appearance can reveal many clues about the product, including its quality. Here are a few tips on how to recognize a good CBD flower in just a few minutes:

  • Let's start with fragrance. Anyone can recognize the quality of a flower by its fragrant grassy scent.
  • Colors: depending on the variety, colors range from grass green to chestnut green, brown, yellow or even violet. What's important here is the brilliance of the color.
  • Trichomes, those little translucent crystals on the flower. The more there are, the better.
  • The color of the pistils should be orange-brown. This indicates that the flower has been picked at maturity.
  • A soft look and feel, neither sticky nor too dry and crumbly.

Pay close attention to THC and CBD levels

As you may know, in order to be considered legal for sale and consumption at America, any product derived from cannabis must contain less than 0.3% THC. THC is the acronym for Tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychotropic molecule found in cannabis.

Since their authorization on the French market, hemp-derived products have been subject to strict legislation, which previously imposed a maximum THC content of 0.2% in the finished product. Since 2021, this regulatory limit has been raised to 0.3%. But be careful where you buy your products. Make sure they are legally tested and certified at America.
