It is technically impossible to obtain a CBD content of over 10% while maintaining a THC content of less than 0.2%.
Here are the rates of our CBD confections, without appearance:
The CBD content of our outdoor flowers is around 6%.
That of our flowers grown indoors is around 8%.
The CBD content of our hash is 20%.
This CBD content may seem low compared with what we sometimes see in other online stores. However, as all our hemp growers can attest, it is currently impossible to offer CBD levels above 10% while maintaining THC levels below 0.3%. CBD and THC levels are correlated!
So beware of ads that present their CBD flowers as having exorbitant CBD levels. Either these ads are misleading, or the THC content of their CBD flowers exceeds 0. 3%, which makes the products illegal! It's also possible to artificially increase CBD levels by adding CBD terpenes to the flowers, but we prefer not to distort the natural flavours of our flowers.
However, our hemp growers are unanimous that CBD levels are not the only parameter to be taken into account, as it is in fact the interaction of the multiple terpenes, flavonoids and cannabinoids that determines a variety's potential. To find out more about what makes the quality of a hemp flower, read our dedicated article!
This isn't the solution we've chosen, as we prefer not to denature our CBD flowers.
The Kana Family tries to be as transparent as possible in order to contribute to quality information about hemp and CBD in general. Don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
Yours truly,Mama Kana
